My husband, bless his heart, gets dragged around to museums and battlefields so I can conduct research. On one particular day I convinced him to drive me up to Wisconsin's Maritime Museum in Manitowoc. I learned so much! Walking down the streets of the re-created 19th Century city, I could very well imagine my characters there, going about their business, shopping at the grocery store while hearing the incessant hammering of nails into wood as ships were constructed.
My novel is available in both traditional and e-book formats. So if you can't tour the Wisconsin Maritime Museum or can't visit Manitowoc in person, you can experience its sights and sounds through my characters in a delightful story.
