Christmas Lights
Lines of cars creep down the road,
Eyes stare wide with wonder;
Inviting lights that woo our gaze,
Enticing me to ponder,
Why do we seek the lambent show
Of lucent decoration?
Would we have sought the brilliant star
Of Magi’s destination?
Come set your eyes that seek His home,
Eternal light unfurled,
The gift of Christ, such radiant glow!
His Light midst darkened world.
