Biography - Christine Kelly

I am an Office Manager and aspiring writer living in Lake County, IL. I grew up on the banks of the Fox River, swimming, fishing and spending time with family.  My parents encouraged me to pursue my dreams, which I did with gusto, working on Dude Ranches in Colorado, started my own business raising quail and selling quail eggs and driving across country seeking adventure.  I settled down long enough to be a stay at home mom with a blended family and an animal menagerie.  I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my family, writing, painting, road trips and the wonders of nature.

The writing bug bit in grade school when my science fiction short story was published in Scholastic Magazine. I have been told that writing is how I process life because I love to write about the lessons I learned and discoveries I have made along the way.  Now, I love to share bits and pieces of my life’s journey on my blog, http://ohlucylordhelpme.blogspot.com/,  if by chance it will inspire others to remember, to laugh and to hope.

Meet Lori Lipsky

Lori Lipsky has lived in the Midwest her entire life. She was born in Illinois, raised in southern Wisconsin, moved to Minnesota after college, and now lives in Waunakee, Wisconsin with her husband. Their two college-age daughters are in that moving-in-and-out-of-home stage of life. Both girls plan to be home this summer, then move away to school in the fall.

Lori earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since their children arrived, she’s worked part-time teaching elementary and middle school music. She's also directed a K-2 choir, a middle school choir, a high school choir and a bell choir. She’s given hundreds of piano and voice lessons.

Lori writes short stories, essays and poetry.  Since 2011, Flutter Poetry Journal, Everyday Poems, The Penwood Review, Red Poppy Review, Bolts of Silk (UK), a Handful of Stones (UK), Pegasus Review, Camel Saloon, Sparkbright, and other literary journals have published her poetry.
